Maude’s Debutante Ball

On December 9th Maude’s Herbal Infusions made a Grand Debut at Time to Market - A Showcase of Local Foods at the Food Innovation Center in Portland, Oregon. The event was co-sponsored by Portland Community College’s Small Business Development Center, Oregon State University’s Food Innovation Center Experiment station and the locally owned New Seasons Market. The event featured an incredibly well attended trade show of over 14 vendors and a friendly competition for a $2,000 prize and guaranteed placement in New Seasons.
Maude estimated the crowd attending at around 500. She’s not really a numbers person but we’re sure she’s somewhere in the ball park. Unbelievably, New Seasons did not choose Maude but instead the upstart Sol Pops.
Undaunted, Maude had a marvelous time, communed with many friends, added many new fans to her fan club and served up an unbelievable amount of herbal infusions. Maude’s was the only table that generated no garbage as all the infusions were served in ceramic, sample size tea cups. All the other tables used some kind of disposables to serve their products.
Maude’s fabulous assistants were Ms. Marlene Elliott, Ms. Vanessa Smith, and Ms. Johnna Voght. They deftly ushered Maude into the debut with some assistance from Hank Elliott and Lou Churchville. Of course, Maude wore her trademark apron which was passed around so we could all feel the spirit of BEING Maude.
The spirit of Nourishment was alive in Maude’s space proving that the vision of building Maude her own space in Portland is not only possible but probably inevitable.

I’m so excited that Maude’s is officially launching! It wasn’t so long ago that you introduced yourself to me as “the queen of tea” and I started begging you to keep making and selling me your infusions. Glad I can continue getting my herbal infusion fix

How do you like WordPress? I’ve been working to migrate both my blogs to WP but haven’t gotten too far. Only as far as installing it on the server. Haven’t found a theme I reall like yet. Your site is very nice. -Chris
